Stopgap is seeking an Access Worker and Creative Learning Associate Calm, patient and passionate about supporting disabled people to access their work? Join our diverse team and work closely with learning disabled choreographer, teacher and dance artist Chris Pavia.
Role: Access Worker and Creative Learning Associate
Salary: £19,500 per annum pro-rata (£11,700 for 3 days per week)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week (3 days).
Main hours of work 10am – 7.00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Location: Surrey and surrounding counties
The primary focus of the role will be supporting resident choreographer, teacher and dance artist Chris Pavia, who has Down’s Syndrome. As access worker you will support Chris, and occasionally other learning disabled dancers in the company, to carry out their professional work in the studio, on Creative Learning projects and remotely.
Supporting with access needs includes tasks such as creating schedules, organising travel, providing administrative assistance and delivering information in different formats such as easy-read documents. Alongside supporting Chris’ access requirements, you will also be trained to become a Creative Learning Associate, assisting with the running of Stopgap’s resident Youth Companies alongside the potential opportunity to co-lead on Creative Learning projects.
