Breaking Barriers Mentoring Project, Photo by Rinkoo Barpaga

Mona Vyas, Born and bred in Birmingham, of Hindu (Gujarati) descent. She went to Art College to learn how to make clothes. Mona is passionate about making things and being creative, she loves to sew and paint etc. She has made her own art clothes in order to sell at various car boot sales.  For the moment, she doesn’t have any opportunities to meet someone that could inspire her of art work. She has a quite low self-esteem. Supporting her to do her artwork will boost her confidence and help to develop her a career. To make a difference to Mona’s artistic career Deaf Explorer will provide further mentoring session with maker Omeima Mudawi-Rowlings, using Skype.
