Autin DT will lead with expertise and practise about dance eco-system in Birmingham and GBSLEP area. Deaf explorer will use the capacity building funding to deliver a pilot collaboration with an arts organisation (ADT) that is leading in it’s field of work, To establish and promote a model of working that will further support Deaf Explorer to collaborate with mainstream companies, validating our expertise and process so that it yields value beyond our work with Deaf artists to benefit arts sector by testing, understanding and finding realistic ways to collaborate with arts organisations. The capacity building will enable Deaf Explorer to focus on developing ways to collaborate with an arts organisation that is not project / beneficiary outcome driven, so we can have a model of practice that will support collaboration by Deaf Explorer with Arts Organisations in the future. It sharing element of the project with dance organisations will develop the pipeline of arts organisation so they ready and willing to collaborate with deaf and diverse artists. Importantly we will gain a much better know how to collaborate and from evaluation and feedback from Autin Dance we will be able to inform arts organisations best practice to collaborate with Deaf explorer and deaf artists.
